Translate your good intentions into actual deeds. If you are never scared or embarrassed or hurt, it means you never take chances. People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are. I do not believe in circumstances. The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and, if they cannot find them, make them. Nothing of great value in life comes easily. Until you try, you do not know what you cannot do. Do not play for safety; it is the most dangerous thing in the world. If you do not do it excellently, do not do it at all. Because if it is not excellent, it will not be profitable or fun, and if you are not in business for fun or profit, what the hell are you doing there? Normal is not something to aspire to, it is something to get away from.
People are not remembered by how few times they fail but by how often they succeed. Every wrong step is another step forward. First we form habits, then they form us. Conquer your bad habits, or they will eventually conquer you. Quit now, you will never make it. If you disregard this advice, you will be halfway there. Some people walk in the rain. Others just get wet.
